St Helier Methodist Centre - refurbishment and new community
hall The existing church, built in 1847, was lovingly restored including the creation of a new creche. The overall aim of the project was to consolidate the original Wesley Grove Methodist Church and the erstwhile Aquila Methodist Centre. This was achieved with the construction of a new contemporary community hall and facilities linked to the existing church. |

Andelain - ecoHouse The design for this scheme was based on ecological principles which aim to limit energy use and pollution (carbon footprint) which can result from both the building process and the subsequent use of the house. Materials were chosen for their low energy and low pollution in manufacture as well as for their life cycle and technical performance. |

New bye-laws to improve compliance by requiring air pressure testing for all new buildings. New homes to be given an energy rating which will show energy costs for space heating, water heating, ventilation and lighting and annual CO2 emissions. Employment & Social Security - £3m+ office
refit Complete refurbishment plus extension to the Ground Floor public area and replacement of all existing services. Flexibility was key to the new layouts, allowing future alterations whilst retaining the main elements of operation. Also included in the design were a Cafe, Call Centre and Archive. This project won the 2004 Jersey Design Awards 'Workplaces' category and a commendation in the 'Large Scale Refurbishment' section. |
